The possible promotional opportunities could only come about when I have a set perspective in mind with regards to work. I want to proceed ahead with the understanding that I will delve deep into these opportunities as and when they arise. In fact, I would not wait for these opportunities to come to my fore but go one step ahead and create the same for my own self. As far as comprehending how career management is brought under a basic methodology, I would have to tie up my strengths along side the weaknesses which exist within my personality. With that taking place, I will now have to find ways and means through which my success could be envisioned through hard work, dedication and the knowledge that I can turn things around if I am on the right path. I would have to properly understand my viewpoints about related work processes and how these will mold within the people I am tied up with (Lyons, 2002). These could include my colleagues as well my family members who are an essential part of my life in essence. What remains to be seen is how I am able to manage these people within my life so that my career gets developed in a proper way, and that there are no apprehensions which are highlighted within the thick of things. When I discuss my skills and abilities, I have to be in line with how I manage my own self whilst understanding how I can make the proper usage of these skills and abilities. This is required because my strengths are very quintessential and these must be properly scrutinized before I can make use of them. Therefore my whole-hearted concentration is on making the best use of these skills and abilities so that success comes in within the related equations (Wilson, 1994). Also my education is very dear to me. I have learned the hard realities of life through the educational prowess that I have and thus gained an insight into how I change things as and when I feel like. What matters to me is how important my education is within the practical dimensions of my career and how aptly driven its implementation is within the related scheme of things. Within the next five years, I will achieve job satisfaction because the attributes and traits which are needed, I possess all of them. This would put me in a better league where I am at the present and make me feel one notch above the rest. There is a need to identify the action steps to reach the stated career goals and objectives. These comprise of my understanding that I need to prioritize things because these are important. When I have done the same, I must allocate the resources which are needed at my end because these would solve half the problems in a very little amount of time. Lastly I would have to supplant my fears and insecurity issues which exist within my personality so that my career growth and management happens very smoothly and in a decent manner. Similarly, the potential barriers to reaching the stated goals include comprehending the goals as something very minute and therefore not properly paying attention to the same. It could also mean that I think of these goals as short term measures and I do not pay much heed (Rothwell, 2005). This would be a very grave problem that can arise within my fore, and which I need to take care of. Also I would have to think for the long term because this is what will reap rich dividends for me in the future as far as my career management domains are concerned.
