You have been asked by your Department Chair to be next month's curriculum committee speaker. Since you are very interested in professional development and are concerned many instructors lack insight into how learning theory is changing from a teacher-centered philosophy to a learner-centered approach (p.27). Feel free to do some general research and create a 15 slide presentation that looks at how we are rethinking teaching now that technology is almost fully integrated into our instructional thinking. Include some historical trends and how these new learning approaches are helping professionals to rethink how traditional educational paradigms are changing. Some things to consider:    * Why have we moved from an "manufacturing model of teaching" to a "student-centered approach"?    * How has technology, especially the Internet and mobile applications changed the lifestyle of children today?    * Do learner's today have different expectations of how they want to learn?
