To restore peace and harmony in the township, Xi is assigned to return the so-called gift to the gods. In his journey, he encounters the western populace for the first time. Xi meets the zoologist (Marius Weyers) studying elephant manure, a white female schoolteacher (Sandra Prinsloo), and a group of black guerrillas headed by Sam Boga (Louw Verwey) intending to overthrow the government. Xi saves the schoolteacher and school children when they are taken hostage by the terrorists. Eventually, Xi, reaching the peak of a cliff and believing that he has found the kingdom of the gods, throws the “gift” from there (“Movies – The Gods Must Be Crazy”).

The lives of all these characters intertwine as Xixo goes on his search for his lost children. Ultimately, Xixo emerges as the hero as he finds his children, and saves Taylor and Marshall from captivity.
