Argumentative Essay: About if Social Media is Valuable

Social media denotes digital technology that permits the sharing of information and ideas. Specifically, the concept of sharing involves exchanging visuals and texts through numerous virtual networks and communities. Based on this explanation, the significance of social media has continued to grow for business and personal use. For example, individuals today use social media to share for entertainment purposes while businesses use it to connect with customers and build trust. Recent studies reveal that social media has become an integral part of contemporary society. In this regard, social media is valuable since it provides entertainment and allows businesses to build trust with their clients.

Social media allows individuals to find entertainment. Ideally, social media is a resource hub that provides people with multiple ways to laugh. Various platforms, such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube permit people to find entertainment in various formats. For example, individuals can access entertainment in the form of posts, games, and videos. Craig and Cunningham (1) established that social media provide people with news, short video clips, and memes that entertain them. Therefore, social media is valuable since allows an individual to get a meaningful break from their busy schedules.

Furthermore, social media enables businesses to build trust with customers. For example, a company can post photographs and information on different platforms showing how they appreciate their clients. Also, businesses can use social media to convey valuable information to their customers. Such an idea can motivate more customers to purchase the company’s products and services. Bharucha (72) found that businesses can foster trust by interacting with customers through social media platforms. As a result, social media is useful in the corporate world.

Nevertheless, some scholars believe social media is invaluable despite these benefits. The pioneers of this claim hold that social media can be addictive, leading to mental health issues. However, this claim is invalid since research reveals that people can avoid addiction by knowing when to tune in and using social media responsibly. People should ensure that they are not utilizing social media to avoid other responsibilities or tasks (Jaradat and Atyeh, 120). Social media is an important component and has many advantages in today’s society.

Conclusively, social media is valuable in modern society. Different platforms allow people to access entertainment. Also, businesses can use social media to connect with their customers. Understanding when to tune in can help individuals overcome the risk of addiction and enjoy the benefits of social media. People should always use the available platforms responsible for accessing their value in life and the business world. Therefore, social media has many advantages in today’s life.
