Compose a 1500 words assignment on dreams in arthur millers death of a salesman. Needs to be plagiarism free! From the play’s dialogues and descriptions, the reader sees that the Loman knows the weakness of believing in half-truths about the circumstances but they choose to continue on the wrong paths. Willy, the head of the family, is not a good leader as he leads his family into believing that the road to success is based on a set of ideas that do not work in his American society. For example, he thinks that Biff should not be made to study because having spirit and personality is more important than being a ‘worm’ (bookworm). He condones his sons’ theft of property, cheating at examinations and other wrongs. The Loman sons, Biff and Happy, discuss how Willy has had a few car accidents because he had difficulty concentrating on his driving. (Miller 20). The extent of his deterioration shows that Willy was already dying long before his physical death because he is a failure as a salesman, a husband, father and neighbour. He knows how frustrated he is in his present salesman job but yet refuses to see the truth. He dreams that the salesman’s job is the perfect job and thus he wants to recommend a salesman’s job to Biff. (Miller 16). Willy’s language shows that he is a proud man. The evidence of this is seen when his neighbour Charley offers him a job. Willy says. ‘Don’t insult me.’ (Miller 43). However, he is not beneath seeking The Woman for help. She promises Willy that. ‘I’ll put you right through to the buyers.’ (Miller 39) He has double standards, being too proud to accept help from a man but not a woman. Willy knew that his elder brother Ben had died but when he sees his apparition, he continues talking to him, as per normal.&nbsp.
