does it matter for the front 3 positions of a newman projection where the molecules go, if you are rotating the back molecules?

does it matter for the front 3 positions of  a newman projection where the molecules go, if you are rotating the back molecules? meaning if i have Br, CH3, and H connected to the front carbon then does it matter if H, Br, or CH3 is at the top?
