The final assignment for HIS 310 is to write a traditional 6-8 page research paper on a historical woman, specific event, or time period relevant to women’s history in America.  Your essay should include an in depth biographical section (or in depth discussion of the events leading up to, during, and after a historical event/time period), followed by an analysis that examines how this woman/event/time period impacted the status of women in America. You should analyze this in terms of the main concepts and trends regarding American women and work, and ethnic/class diversity presented in readings and lectures. Your essay should also incorporate 4-6 sources.
