Hello tutor! I might need some help on understanding these problems. I'm not too good with word problems and I'm stuck with several questions that I need help on.
Q1: Roxanne can paddle her kayak 14 miles downstream in just 4 hours. If she paddles upstream for 4 hours, she only travels 6 miles. Find the speed at which Roxanne can paddle her kayak in still water, as well as the current of the river.
Q2: A train travels 15mph per hour faster than a bus. It takes the bus two hours longer to travel 240 miles than it takes for the train to travel 220 miles. What's the speed of the bus.
