As a leader, you often need to display or clarify a concept. A matrix is a grid that contains information and offers a visual model of ideas. For this assignment, you will create a matrix that explains leadership theories.
Researchthe following five leadership theories, and include these in your matrix. Use the provided Leadership Theories Matrix:
- Trait theories of leadership
- Behavioral theories of leadership
- Contingency models of leadership
- Skills approaches to leadership
- Situational methods of leadership
Developthe definition and characteristics of the various leadership theories and approaches to leadership (trait leadership, behavioral leadership, contingency leadership, skills leadership, and situational leadership). Examples supporting the theories can be found in the text book readings or specific examples based on your experience.
Writeout the definitions and examples in each section. Each column in the five sections should have a minimum of 200 words. This means that each of the five sections will have 400 words in total word length. While the matrix has 350 words you should follow the word count noted here in the assignment.
Include a minimum of two citations for each of the five sections from the text and/or peer reviewed sources. Note: a citation should not exceed 40 words in length.
