Outdoor Festival Objective: create an outdoor festival based around the Cool style. Create the advertising bill stating the lineup, location, name of festival, dates/length of festival, etc.

There are several music festivals held every year in the United States. Some are national or internationally famous, such as the Crossroad Guitar Festival, while others are smaller and more regional such as Rock the Desert.  Your small group's job is to create a new festival based around the Cool style characteristics. As a group, you will choose 10 bands/artists to invite to perform, name the festival, determine the length of the festival, set dates for your festival, pick a location for the festival, and create the advertising bill that will be plastered on all telephone poles, bulletin boards, and sent to every radio station, newspaper, and TV station. This bill can be created in Microsoft Word or in something like Publisher then uploaded to the discussion board as a picture (JPG file).  Need an idea of what to think about? A model might be Rock the Desert  http://rockthedesert.com/   (http://www.rockthedesert.com/ - Opens in a new tab.
