Portfolio summary.  Include every item (chapter write-ups, interviews and consult).  Organize your portfolio in a professional manner and include a table of contents.  Save an electronic copy of your portfolio.

The portfolio you created exemplifies the first step in project development — gathering inputs from new and existing clients, co-workers, new and existing connections, and applying one’s own knowledge within a set timeframe.  There are two steps remaining.

The second step is to combine your inputs to create a potential solution.  This is the point of the portfolio summary.  Your task is to create a graphic (e.g., flowchart or anything that is easy to read and follow—but be professional, no handwriting or hand drawing) on one page only that contains the following:

1. Show themes and traits from our speakers, interviews, the consult, and things from lectures related to:

a. Organizational success

b. Your own success

2. How these themes and traits can be implemented (organizational strategy and your own strategy)—think in terms of what needs to be done and how to do so

3. How an organization and you can be held accountable in light of the business and your own strategy you identified in (2) above

Insert this one page in your electronic portfolio immediately before the table of contents

The third step is implementing what you learned in your personal and professional life.
