Fresh Produce is a logistics company that manages the Avocado distribution across North America. The company works with 3 Avocado farms located in San Francisco, San Diego and Mexico City. Each Farm has a fixed capacity of Avocados that it can produce every season. To manage its distribution more effectively, Fresh Produce has set up 3 Warehouses located in Denver, Phoenix and Chicago. The company utilizes these warehouses as transition location that eventually cater to the end customers located in New York, Miami and Raleigh. The logistics model that Fresh Produce has created enables Avocados to be shipped between farms (San Francisco, San Diego, Mexico City, if required), and it also has certain routes set up which enable the farms to ship directly to the Customer locations (New York, Miami, Raleigh). Additionally, the farms can ship to warehouses that eventually ship to the end customer. The different routes and the associated unit cost of shipping Avocados/pound is presented in the table below. Note that each route has a capacity restriction which only permits 500 pounds of product to be shipped between any 2 nodes (arc capacity)
