• Does the writing convey a clear sense of what makes this a discourse community? What are the claims being made by the writer?
• Does the writing include specific evidence to support the claims being made about the discourse community?
• Does the writing present its claims and evidence about discourse communities in such a way that people in that community would recognize? In other words, does the writing communicate effectively to its intended audience?
• What do you recommend the writer do to improve the writing?
