2. Post a comment or question that was sparked by something you read or saw in this learning unit.

Choose either option below and write a brief reflection that includes all the points listed for that option.

Option 1 - Choose an interesting outdoor location.  Observe the light at three different times during the day and, if possible, under different weather conditions. Observe the lighting carefully and write a 300 word (maximum) reflection that describes the lighting at all three times, including all the points below for EACH time you observed (Note - spend most of your time on the final point below):

• What time of day is it?
• What is the weather like?
• How bright is the light?
• Is the light soft or harsh?
• How does the lighting affect the appearance and mood of this location?

Option 2 – Choose three interior locations – such as a store, restaurant, or house – with distinctly different lighting.  Observe the lighting carefully and write a 300 word (maximum) reflection that describes the lighting, including all the points below for EACH of the three locations (Note - spend most of your time on the final point below):

• What kind of lighting is used in each location?
• Is there any natural light contributing to the lighting?
• How bright is the light?
• Is the light soft or harsh?
• How does the lighting affect the appearance and mood of each space?
