Study the communication process illustrated in (Figure 1.1 below). Write a short scenario in which the communication process does not go well for the people involved. Next, map out the process to show where communication broke down. Use labels in your process example to show who the people are, what the barriers are, what contexts exist, what messages were encoded and decoded, etc. Then, explain how the communication process could be improved and draw an illustration of how the improved communication process would work. You can draw your process models and hand write your scenarios and explanations (then scan and upload as pdf), or you can use Word’s shapes to show your process. If you have access to a graphics program, you may use it as long as you paste the process illustration into Word. Do not submit a file that we cannot open.
