Technical Writing instructions list
For this task, you will write a set of instructions on how to install flooring from Ikea. In order to write the instructions, you will watch a video from Ikea.
There are three videos you can choose from.

You may select any one of the three flooring styles in writing your instructions. Please choose any one of the three types of flooring and write your instructions on how to install that type.
In writing your set of instructions, please begin your instructions with the following step then continue on your own:
1. Lay the pieces of flooring in the room in which you plan to install the flooring. Allow the flooring to sit in the room for 48 hours so that the material can climatise, or adjust to the room temperature.
Example:

2. Find, unfold and read the included instruction.
3. Roll out and place the subfloor so that the edges between subfloor sections match exactly. The subfloor pieces should be should NOT overlap each other.
4. Select the first piece of wood to install against a corner of the room. Cut off the locking lip on one of the short sides of the wood and place that side against the wall. The wood should be spaced 8mm from the wall on both sides.
5. Lay the next piece of wood on the row next to the first one. Place a block on the side of the wood opposite the first piece of wood. Hammer the block gently until the two pieces of wood are locked. The two pieces of wood should be aligned. Continue installing the rest of the row. If the last piece in the row is too long, measure it and cut it down to the proper size before installing.
6. Begin installing the second row by locking the long side of the first new piece with the first piece that was installed.
7. Continue installing rows until finished.
8. Cut out any holes as necessary to accommodate wires, pipes or other protrusions.
9. The wood pieces in the last row my need to be cut lengthwise in order to accommodate the size of the room.
