1. Theory and Understanding: Formally citing 4 or more of the authors we have read (using APA format) please essentialize their key arguments concerning community (or civic) leadership. Connect them to each other and demonstrate how they support or detract from each other (by way of example ONLY: “... when B. Barber says XXXXX, clearly that aligns with Block’s idea about YYYY…. While Northouse would completely disagree because ZZZ…). Do not just cite the authors, but do so in a way that connects them to each other AND provides discussion and analysis. The point here is NOT only to show that you have read them rather that you have  internalized them, can discuss their points, agree/disagree as needed and  “own” your personal analysis of their positions. I care less about the stance you take and MORE about ascertaining that you have thought about it, can cogently  substantiate your stance, and are now more informed about specific aspects of community/civic leadership. BLOCK must be one of the authors used in this section.
