Objectives of the Assignment:

  2. To understand the process and origins of The North American continent.

Assignment:

  • You are expected to watch the documentary and write an essay with the following parts.

  * Briefly explain the different processes that helped shape the continent of North America as we know today. Use the documentary to frame your essay.

   * The documentary captures different aspects of geological sciences like rock formation, tectonic plate movement, techniques to measure rocks etc. You are required to expand and explain any one of these aspects from the documentary that was of interest to you.

This is a single essay and please have a single Introduction and Conclusion for the essay.

  • The assignment should be a minimum of 800 words and a maximum of 1500 words excluding references.
  • The assignment should have different sections with titles (ex. Introduction, Conclusion)
  • The assignment should have figures/tables, please have captions for the tables and figures, explain them too(there are separate grades allocated for them in the rubric
