I am working on my sociological research methods proposal. My topic is on media effect's on *female* body image. I am in the process of setting up the methods part. It seems as though the best way to go about the design is a survey - a questionnaire and interview. I have been working on this for hours and don't feel I'm doing it correctly - If you could, please, fill in the information I have listed below in as much detail as possible. It would be a tremendous help!! The problem I am having is filling out my methods information, which involves (two parts): (1) Quantitative method:(a) Sample characteristics/how you will recruit; (b) Design: cross-sectional, longitudinal, inductive, deductive; (c) Method: experiment, quasi-experiment, field experiment, or survey; (d) variables: i) What are your concepts ii)How are you operationalizing them?; (e) Planned analyses(2) Qualitative method: (a) sample characteristics/how you will recruit; (b) Design; (c) Method: Unobtrusive observation, Participant observation; or Interviewi. Structured interview?ii. Semi-structured interviews?(d) Variables:i. What are you looking for?ii. What questions are you using to "get at" your topic?(e) Planned analysisThank you so much for your help!!
