• All form of competitive advantage is primarily targeted to increase profit for corporations with the help of customers. By attracting customers with incentives like rewards program, price transparency , free luggage check in, etc, corporations can increase their ticket sales, thus increasing the revenue. As long as the corporations have not increased their operation cost due to implementing the system. very likely they will be increasing their profit.Adaptation of technologies by corporations has provided tremendous competitive advantage over corporations yet to adapt the technologies. Over time the competitive advantage will cease to exist. Corporations continuously have to find new ways to gain competitive advantages.Here is an example of a competitive advantage that no longer exist. FedEx used to have a competitive advantage in providing package tracking. However UPS and USPS have caught up with this feature and due to that FedEx has to come up with some other feature to be different from UPS and USPS.
